Greetings Natalie fans,
Welcome to the first monthly newsletter. As mentioned before, this is a bit of an experiment so please share your feedback as this will evolve as time goes on.
Let’s start by looking back at some of May’s Natalie news highlights - it was a quiet month but, hopefully, news will be more forthcoming later in the year.
May Natalie News
#5 - Harvard Address
Natalie, being a Harvard graduate herself, delivered a short address (via Instagram) to this year’s graduates. They didn’t get to have a proper graduation, but they did get a Natalie video so…
You can watch it here.
#4 - Cocktails
In this Instagram video Natalie whips up a tasty looking cocktail while also giving some love to farm workers affected by the pandemic. What' a lady!
#3 - 7-UP
While we lost our Instagram account (no warning, no explanation…) Natalie’s continues to thrive, notching up 7 million followers in May. It’s hard to believe that there used to be a time that fans had no access to Natalie’s inner life. Thinking back, that is the biggest Natalie news of the last few years.
#2 - BINGO
In one of the stranger Natalie appearances of the year, she showed up in as a virtual Bingo announcer to once again help raise money. The event was created for Syosset residents in New York, which is Natalie’s home town.
And here is something a bit special: Natalie graduating from Syosset High.
#1 - Careless Corny
An obvious number one with Natalie appearing on video for a reading of Careless Corny, a children’s story to help the young ones understand what’s happening with Coronavirus. If she could now do a follow-up to explain to us adults what’s happening, that would also be great!
Watch it here.
Quote of the Month
Since it is was May the 4th, it’s only appropriate that we pull out Natalie quote from her most famous franchise.
“What if the democracy we thought we were serving no longer exists, and the Republic has become the very evil we’ve been fighting to destroy.”
Blast from the Past
Looking back at a special moment from May-days in Natalie’s past, this month we’re pulling out the bag Natalie’s Cannes appearance for A Tale of Love and Darkness. Not only did Natalie star and produce the film, it was also her feature writing and directorial debut.
