We’re on the home stretch of 2020 and thank goodness for that.
If it wasn’t for Instagram, 2020 would have been among the worst ever years for Natalie fans, don’t you think?
All things considered, this was quite a “stacked” news month 🤣 so let’s get to it!
June Natalie News
#5 - Thor Plans
For those of us dying for some actual film news, it was great to hear Natalie reveal plans to shoot Thor: Love and Thunder in Australia at the start of 2021. She did mention that with the pandemic, who knows if those plans will change, but crossing fingers we’ll get to see Natalie wielding Thor’s hammer sooner rather than later.
#4 - Throwback
Natalie shared a very cute and rather bizarre personal photo on her Instagram. The dogs, the bricks, the pants, the pose - as she alludes to, there’s a lot to unpack!
#3 - TIFF Ambassador
Natalie has been named an ambassador of next month’s Toronto International Film Festival. Natalie is one of 50 industry names (including: Martin Scorcese, Gael García Bernal, Darren Aronofsky and Nicole Kidman) who will be viewing virtual screenings next month and handing out the awards.
#2 - Queen Meets Queen
Natalie joined tennis superstar, Serena Williams, on the queen of the court’s Instagram with the conversation covering women’s sport, Natalie and Serena’s involvement in an ownership group for a new woman’s soccer team in LA, family, Thor and more.
If you haven’t watched it yet, check it out here - Natalie joins around the 17-minute mark.
#1 - Goaaallllll
The biggest news of the month was the shocker that Natalie’s growing love affair with women’s soccer took a leap as it was announced that she was part of an ownership group for a new woman’s soccer team based in LA.
If you enjoy seeing Natalie at sport’s events, get ready to see a lot more of it - once the world returns to normal of course…
Quote of the Month
The quote of the month literally comes from this month, from the announcement of Natalie’s new foray into sports ownership.
“We aim to be champions on the field, and champions of equity off the field” - Natalie
Blast from the Past
Let’s stick to the tennis theme and fire up the time machine to head back to 2004, where a fresh-faced Natalie attended the U.S. Open.
You can view the full set here.
That’s all for now - take care and see you soon!
